Bored….. but organised

presents
Sorry to have to report that I have not yet fully recovered from my cold/flu episode and…..my leg is still very very sore! Admittedly with my stump being so painful it has taken my mind off my new knee which I have to say is rising to the challenge of being my ‘only’ fully functioning lower limb. However there are some plusses,

1) I have managed to work through my flu symptoms (inc a very sore throat and chest) without the need for anti-biotics

2) I have wrapped all my Christmas presents, written all my cards including the annual ‘letters’ I include for the people I don’t see as often as I would like.

No matter how I feel I will attend my grandsons Christmas Play on Monday – he’s been singing all the songs he has learned and is very excited. One thing for sure is that I cannot be blamed in any shape or form for spreading germs – I have been under ‘house-arrest’ for almost 3 weeks now.

Roll on Christmas!

You’re not going to believe this….

dog

I’ve got flu! aches, pains, runny nose, cold sores – the whole works.  Now I am thinking has this been the cause of my aching legs over the past week or so?  I’ve been blaming my knee surgery maybe is wasn’t that after all.  Anyway I’m going to hibernate for a few days, feel sorry for myself and eat chocolate!

Duvet day

image

Well I definitely mis-diagnosed my aching limbs, I’ve got flu! Just what you need when recovering from a major operation and need to keep mobile.  Even going to the loo is an effort so it’s a duvet day for me, lots of fluids and my book 😦
